2nd: Deus / Ex / Machina
3rd: MC Lion / Tamayorihime / Ange
4th: MC Lion / DJ Lovit / Machina
5th: Yukayuka / Deus / Madoka
6th: VJ Wolf / DJ Lovit / MC Lion
7th: Madoka / Yuzuki / Machina
8th: Ange / Umr / Madoka
9th: Toko / Deus / Machina

12th: Dr.Tamago / Deus / Madoka

From these, of course a few would come on top, it's a tournament after all!

So, before Top Cut, our Top 4 decks where:

1st: Madoka / Tamayorihime / Machina
2nd: Deus / Ex / Machina
3rd: MC Lion / Tamayorihime / Ange
4th: MC Lion / DJ Lovit / Machina

These deck then, battled between each other for 1 to come out on top!
Just so we don't go straight into decklists without much information from the players or decks we decided to reach of to Top 3 and ask some questions about their deckbuilding decisions and their matchups!

Lets start with 3rd Place!

3rd Place - Totoro - MC Lion/ Tamayorihime / Ange

Hey!
So, recently you got 3rd Place in our Weekly Tournament and I would like to ask you a few questions about your deck and experience if you wouldn't mind!
So, for starters, i would like to know a bit more about your deck!

1- Is there a specific reason why you picked these specific LRIGs for your deck?
R: I chose a mono-white team consisting of Tama, Ange, and MC Lion because I found these three the most reliable in terms of white lrigs. I went with Tama center because it has the option to force that one extra attack, which can help with turns in a pinch. MC Lion was mostly chosen to help with attacks that might be too large and Ange is great to help push some damage in.

2- Did you decide your LRIGs or main deck first? and what where your thoughts going into the building process for this deck?
R: I chose my lrigs first because knowing what would be your core helps set up your deck.
Knowing that I chose Mono-white, I went with white signis that would be able to help the package of trying to push damage when I can and be able to utilize her abilities if needed. The white signis that  came out in set 6 also helped in making the deck work more consistently in my opinion.

3- Are there any cards in your list that you would treat as Tech Choices for certain match-ups?
R: I think Yuki is great for matches that involve signis that are annoying such as H20s in Deus Atoms.
Remember is also nice as acting as a wall and that I can tax my opponent when I can. Coela has been helpful in some matches when it lives on board and Exia has been great overall.

Now lets get into the playing side!

4- What do you feel like are your best/worst match ups and why?
R: The best match-up so far have been decks that like to prioritize heavy ener usage but I fought decks that don't really care but still manage to pull their combos off. I found red and black lifeburst to be the hardest bunch for their effectiveness of getting rid of board state so it ruins my plan to try and stay consistent with maintaining my own life cloth but also be able to attack next turn.

5- During this tournament, what did you end up playing against and how did it go?
R: My only losses came to Ex but the second time I fought them was definitely a close one. I fought against other great players as well and I would say I just got lucky most of the time with either having life bursts or draws that would help but also being lucky to dodge lifebursts that would hurt me a lot.

And for the last question:
6-With the decks performance on this tournament, are you thinking about making any changes to it?
R: I might make changes to the ratios when it comes to the next set but for now, it feels good and been having fun playing against new people. It has been a blast but a good and memorable experiences. I wish my opponents best of luck next week in the tourney and to keep being the best selector you can be!

That's all, thank you so much for answering our questions and good luck for the next Tournament!

2nd Place - Mahou Shoujo Autumn - Deus / Ex / Machina

Hey!
So, recently you got 2nd Place in our Weekly Tournament and I would like to ask you a few questions about your deck and experience if you wouldn't mind!
So, for starters, i would like to know a bit more about your deck!

1- Is there a specific reason why you picked these specific LRIGs for your deck?
R: DXM means I gotta run DXM! Running Trigger + DD means my opponent starts at 5 cloth ideally, which means i only have to push for a couple cloth really. DXM is the only set up where you are allowed such a strong piece combination. Ex because she's best girl (and also fetches up toolbox cards better than any other center)

2- Did you decide your LRIGs or main deck first? and what where your thoughts going into the building process for this deck?
R: Main deck then LRIG. Since it's in team DXM a lot is locked in in terms of lrig choice. I've frequently had trouble killing my opponents on the final turn bc they are often holding up clap or some other stop 3, so including the signi that would garner invulnerability like Tengu combo and Lalaru was key. The lrig deck mostly supports this by running recursion (recovery). Machina Repair functions as pseudo recursion, keeping something that might refresh over into cloth and allows for sufficient resource generation (tech. +1 ener from cloth being crushed) in a resource denial meta. Far too much dodges Smash to be reliably viable in current meta.

3- Are there any cards in your list that you would treat as Tech Choices for certain match-ups?
R: The entire deck is tech choices XD

Now lets get into the playing side!
4- What do you feel like are your best/worst match ups and why?
R:
Not necessarily. The deck primarily struggles when I have either a poor or incorrect reading on my opponent's assists. As long as I can correctly name what they are running I genuinely believe I can manage most match ups out side of a heavily greedy double 3 stop deck

5- During this tournament, what did you end up playing against and how did it go?
R: Played against Esper Tama, Ex tool box (mirror), Mono white Tama, and Lovit ener burn. The esper Tama matches were rough. First game I had a poor reading on my opponent’s assists, and second game, I got punished badly with him flipping multiple furen slash in cloth. Ex mirror is often difficult as toolbox never comes up as much. It really is down to burst and servant at that rate, and making sure to bide your time and play carefully. Mono white Tama is a very aggressive deck, and you often need to manage your ener and find servants. Once you do that, you can strike back against their lion disrespect by putting out Lalaru every turn. Lovit is tricky bc she burns a lot, which makes it unpredictable how much ener you’ll have to play with. Just manage well and struggle through.

And for the last question:
6- With the decks performance on this tournament, are you thinking about making any changes to it?
R: Not at the moment! I am super happy with the deck and how she's been running.

That's all, thank you so much for answering our questions and good luck for the next Tournament!

1st Place - Skobnx - Madoka / Tamayorihime / Machina

Hey!
So, recently you came out on top, getting 1st Place in our Weekly Tournament, Congratulations! and I would like to ask you a few questions about your deck and experience if you wouldn't mind!
So, for starters, i would like to know a bit more about your deck!

1- Is there a specific reason why you picked these specific LRIGs for your deck?
R: I am playing these specific assist lrigs because of their very efficient ener cost combined with Tama center’s high ener usage. Playing tama center, you would like to make it a priority to activate her auto every turn if possible.

2- Did you decide your LRIGs or main deck first? and what where your thoughts going into the building process for this deck?
R: I usually decide on the Lrig deck first before building the main deck. Main deck card choices should support what your lrig deck is trying to achieve.
This deck in particular has gone through a lot of iterations and the main deck has remained relatively the same even across different lrig deck configurations.

3- Are there any cards in your list that you would treat as Tech Choices for certain match-ups?
R: I guess the only real tech choices for certain matchups would be P-Nlight for the Tama mirror and Zeno cluster for the ener burn matchup.

Now lets get into the playing side!
4- What do you feel like are your best/worst match ups and why?
R: The worst matchups for this deck are decks that can go really fast while not being impacted greatly by resource denial. Probably something like on team Deus center could prove to be difficult but I also haven’t tested enough.

5- During this tournament, what did you end up playing against and how did it go?
R: I played against on team Ex, p06 Lovit and Atom Deus. The Ex matchups were the closest and came down to some good bursts.

And for the last question:
6- With the decks performance on this tournament, are you thinking about making any changes to it?
R: I didn’t see much value in "Zeno Cluster" so I would probably remove it for "Super Helesta Saber".

That's all, thank you so much for answering our questions and good luck for the next Tournament!

Ending Thoughts
